You might have asked yourself "Why is it the 'Chet Arthur History Club'?" Well here's your answer, taken from the caption for this photo in the 1972 @CovCathColonels yearbook......

Please join us in praying for the repose of the soul of former @CovCathColonels faculty member, Deacon Steve Durkee, who taught at Cov Cath from 1991-2002 and was head swim coach from 1992-2001. Visitation from 9-11am on Aug 2 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption.

After 48 seasons as the head baseball coach at Covington Catholic, Bill Krumpelbeck's career has ended. His 1,149 career wins are second most in KHSAA baseball history. Full story to come.
Krumpelbeck retires with the second most wins in KHSAA history. In his tenure, the Colonels won 22 district titles, nine region championships and a state title in 2002, the last NKY team to do so in baseball. linknky.com/sports/sports-…

The @KHSAA's introduction in 2024 of Indoor Track & Field created a defacto "KY Triple Crown" with state titles given each yr in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. In the 2yrs it's now been possible to win the KY Triple Crown, the @CovCathColonels have done so TWICE.
Dominance defined: CovCath wins Class 2A team title, its sixth since moving from 3A linknky.com/sports/track/2…
Just noticed an error in tabulating the All-Time Career Wins list where we included coach John Lowery twice. Correcting for that puts Coach Krumps at #14 nationally for all-time head coaching wins.
