Because Ukraine was never beyond possibility. Because a trained reserve and a high will to defend the country remain foundations of Finland’s defence. Because, as Hillel said, "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when?"

Risk Intelligence’s Senior Advisor @CorporalFrisk shared insights on Finland’s evolving defence stance in @sudouest’s Sunday edition. 📅 Published 29 June 2025 🔗 Read more: bit.ly/4lS82Is #geopolitics #security #defencestrategy #riskmanagement
If NATO airpower can achieve a similar result to Jutland, namely sending the enemy running screaming the moment they realise the full force they had nightmares about was coming for them, then it would be doing exceptionally well.

Having gotten to see the #A400M #Atlas up close and talk to the people flying it, I ask whether these are the capabilities the #FDF needs? It’s a complicated question, but the giant titan has a good case. corporalfrisk.com/2025/07/16/the…
I am once more noting #ArmyRecognition are not serious outlets, and have for years been known to operate in bad faith, playing swift and loose with attribution, copyrights, and so forth. I urge defence brands and PAOs to consider whether they want to be associated with them.
It’s clear that you have copied my article for @navalnewscom and combined it with content from other sources. Why did you choose to do that, instead of simply citing the original source and providing a summary or a short excerpt? This is my article navalnews.com/event-news/cne…
What better way to celebrate #14Juillet than by reading my reporting from exercise #AtlanticTrident25 where I got the opportunity to tag along with the French media tour? 🇫🇷 corporalfrisk.com/2025/07/14/atl…
Corrosion is obviously an issue that’s hard to tackle, but both lack of engineers and spare parts shortages are relatively easy to solve *if* you are ready to throw a bunch of money at the problem and make some serious decisions about retention and warfighting capabilities.
The UK's multi-billion-pound fleet of F-35 fast jets can only perform all its required missions one third of the time because of a lack of engineers, spare parts and unexpectedly high corrosion at sea, an official report has revealed. news.sky.com/story/uks-f-35…
Russian forces guided an FPV drone and killed a 14 month old baby inside his home with his great grandmother in Kherson today. I won’t post the picture. Russian drone units terrorizing this region’s civilians are twisted and sick.
The situation with Russians killing a toddler with a drone is especially despicable when you realize this wasn’t a stray artillery shell that landed 50 meters off, or a Shahed drone that hit a tall building, but an FPV drone, guided in real time by an operator watching it live
I will admit I am somewhat surprised by the CB 90 continuing to be the choice of platform decade after decade - at some point you would think a brand new design might offer benefits - but it is a statement of just how good the original design is that it lives on!
The CB 90 is once more proving that the sound basic design allows it to stay up to date and remain relevant on the modern battlefield. Sweden just ordered an additional batch while France started testing the combat boat 🇸🇪 🇫🇷 Story by @CorporalFrisk navalnews.com/naval-news/202…
French Air Force A400M delivering red wine to the front line.
If this is confirmed, Paris must know that this demand will effectively kill the project. In that case it might just be the attempt to make Berlin be the one that ultimately skips out.

There are some potentially useful capabilities for countries looking for aircraft on the cheap in that mix. Those are not the A-10s.
"In addition to the A-10s, the Air Force wants to retire 62 F-16Cs and Ds, 21 F-15Es, 13 F-15Cs and Ds, 14 C-130H Hercules cargo planes, and 3 EC-130H Compass Call electronic warfare planes." defensenews.com/air/2025/06/27…
