Today at @RowanSci, we're releasing Egret-1, a family of open-source neural network potentials. On lots of benchmarks, the Egret-1 models match or exceed the accuracy of quantum chemistry for organic & biomolecular simulation. Here's me and @manntis4 with a brief video intro:

Looking forward to this! I'll be giving a flash talk about AI and automating scientific discovery.
We're taking @InSilicoPod show on the road! Join us in Boston on Thursday July 24, 5-7pm for an evening of lightning talks on autonomous science from founders and researchers (more to be announced!), with thanks to our generous hosts @GlasswingVC RSVP link below ⬇️
We just released a new version of our Python API, making it simpler and easier to run advanced computational chemistry workflows with a few lines of code. No more manual construction of bespoke dictionaries! With the v2 API, the Python interface mimics the options on the web.

Congrats to the team at @MarathonFusion for identifying a plausible, scalable process for transmuting mercury into gold. This is something that drove Isaac Newton insane.
Next Thursday, we're exploring the intersection of automation, AI, and scientific discovery with @charlesxjyang, Jörg Werner, and @CorinWagen. We hope you will join us! Sign up here: lu.ma/f77aqhg9
We often think about potential energy surfaces in 2D, but they're really 3D. Our summer intern, Isaiah Sippel, used Manim to create a short 3D animation of a Diels–Alder PES. The video illustrates the energy barrier between reactants and products, along with the connecting MEP:
@RowanSci is making molecular modeling actually usable, so I built an MCP server that lets you access their tools through natural conversation.
one of the cleverest men i ever met was Chinedu Okafor, a forty-seven year old nigerian man, so tall and thin that he seemed designed by someone who understood the concept of height but not mass. he was six-foot-eight, and seemed to grow a couple of inches every month. i once…
Today, we're delivering on our promise of radical transparency. The FDA just published 200+ complete response letters—the actual decision letters we send to drug companies when applications need more work. No more guessing games. Developers, investors, and patients deserve to see…
Today, the FDA published more than 200 decision letters, known as complete response letters or CRLs. CRLs are issued directly to product sponsors when the FDA completes its review cycle and determines that it cannot grant an approval of an application in its current form. By…
