TODAY’S THE DAY!!!!!! After 10 years of writing, and rewriting, and endless editing, Living in Cemeteries is out in the world…and I couldn’t be happier!!!

Do you want to read a beautiful little flash piece about time, different dimensions, sadness, and terrible day jobs??? If so, check out Emmie Christie’s new one over at @theCosmicbgr :) thecosmicbackground.com/stories/emmie-…
I’m bummed about this fact: When I made TikToks, I ran similar content back to back, like 5 horror novels you need to read and then 5 horror short story collections you need to read. The novel post got 30k views. Short stories got 500. Short stories don’t get enough love
I am a children’s librarian for a solid portion of today… During a heavy programming block. Pray for me.
Pub day is here! My debut novella FEEDING THE WHEEL is officially on store shelves and digital marketplaces all over the world. Instead of droning on about how proud I am of this work and how fulfilled I feel, I'd like to take a sec to thank everybody who made this real
Why Didn’t You Just Leave, edited by Julia Rios and @nadiabulkin, won the Shirley Jackson award for best anthology!!! And I’m pumped because my choose your own adventure haunted house story, “No Joy Exists Anywhere Beyond Your Front Door” is in it!

Friends, promise me if I ever get wicked famous, you won’t let me let my publisher do what they did to poor Ray Bradbury with this book cover.

Had an excellent time at ReaderCon! As usual, forgot to take many pictures, but @emnays and I did get our annual photo, and that’s all that matters :)

And with that, the Cosmic Horror / Cursed Island novel edit is done :)
It’s always kind of silly when I do Open Mics. I host one seasonally at the library. I get up there and am like…Hey you want to hear something sad and weird…and everyone’s like…Hell yeah I want to hear something sad and weird :)
I’m so close to the end of this draft…just got to the weirdest part…and it’s good…just 60 more pages :)
Hey friends! It’s your annual(seasonal? Bi-weekly? Daily???) reminder that if you enjoyed either of my books, Living in Cemeteries or Haunted Ecologies, it would be wicked kind to drop a review/rating on your preferred site On Goodreads, LiC is soooo close to 100 :)

It’s another Saturday at the Library! Did you know many libraries have smaller book sales or book sale rooms in addition to their big summer book sales? At Eastham we have this room. All the sales go to funding library programs and buying new books. Support libraries.

We have a stunner from the amazing @CoreyFarrenkopf for your reading pleasure, my lovelies! It's such a brilliant story! 💖🐇🍬 milkcandyreview.home.blog/2025/07/10/may…
Summer’s a great season for spooky books at the Library!!! Don’t miss House of Beth by @kermichele, One Yellow Eye by Leigh Radford, Killer on the Road by Stephen Graham Jones, and The Night Birds by @ChristophGolden!!! Place your holds now :)

New Story Day!!!! I’ve been submitting to Milk Candy Review since 2019, and today my new flash piece, Maybe Someday I’ll Stop Writing About A House On The Border Of A Swamp, comes out!!!! Proud of the weird little meta flash piece :) milkcandyreview.home.blog/2025/07/10/may…
It’s a stormy rainy humid hot sticky gross day here on Cape Cod… I can see the masses of patrons approaching… Little do they know our A/C is only half working. Pray for me…
It’s always nice to get a little acceptance letter in the morning :)
It’s a beautiful day outside! The flowers are blooming! The birds are singing! But maybe you’re looking for a little literary gloom to balance that out? (Because we all need that right now…) If so, check out Haunted Ecologies or Living in Cemeteries. Or just watch the birds
