It’s hard to find a trend in the electricity system right now that *doesn’t* point to near-term price increases if not a broad affordability crisis. The setup is bad and getting worse. I wrote about it for @heatmap_news:

Trump’s opposition to green power clashes w/ his AI agenda, via @jamepdx & @kelseytam. Stay for a YOLO quote from Sen. Thom Tillis, who calls cancelation of loan to Grain Belt transmission line a "mistake." “You can’t have it both ways,” he told me politi.co/416uEwZ
“Going into 2028, Democrats will need an actual plan to stabilize or cut electricity costs.” An electricity price crisis is rapidly approaching, @robinsonmeyer warns. Democrats need to be prepared: heatmap.news/politics/elect…

NBA free agency has been a bust lately. RFAs sitting out there, @ShamsCharania tweeting out essentially 1-year deals for players every day now, Nets fans arguing over a team that went away two years ago. Am I the only one asking: where was the crazy offseason we were promised?
New in ME: Trump snarls permitting talks. Rep. Scott Peters, a top Dem NEPA reform advocate, told me Interior's efforts to suffocate solar/wind is making it “a lot harder." "If no one's going to talk back to Trump, then the whole place is broken. How can you trust the deal?”
Why shams why???
Free agent guard Lindy Waters III has agreed to a one-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, agents Shy Saee and Winston Nelson of Klutch Sports tell ESPN. Waters has shot 37% from 3 in his first four NBA seasons in Oklahoma City, Golden State and Detroit.
What are we doing here Shams??? How is this worthy???
Free agent forward Josh Okogie has agreed to a one-year, $3.1 million deal with the Houston Rockets, sources tell ESPN. Okogie enters his 8th NBA season and gives the Rockets another active wing defender who has averaged 6.3 points over 416 games.
I thought the full piece from @LucasKaplan_ was pretty balanced tbh - I came away from it thinking more highly of CT than before I read it…
Anything written by someone who is an employee of the team, the level of objectivity comes into question. Give us full video breakdowns, what games, score at the time of play, who he was on the floor with, what other scorers, etc. Otherwise, it reads like a FO inspired hit piece!
