Copenhagen Suborbitals
@CopSub
Copenhagen Suborbitals is a crowdfunded non-profit suborbital human space program, crewed only by volunteers working towards human spaceflight in our sparetime.
Captured in sound and IR: a rocket engine cosplaying as a 19th-century boiler. Less ‘blasting off,’ more ‘warming up.’ Still progress
Everything is cleaned up and now a short debriefing. Thank you once again.

Our vision: An astronaut headed for a launch pad built by dreamers. No nation, no billionaires—just volunteers and a wild belief: That ordinary people can reach space. Help us make history. Support the mission at copsub.com/support-us Poster: bit.ly/2zlmli1

Thank you from all of us for following today’s test. We’re looking forward to letting you know when we’ll do the next round

No more tests today. We’re having problems with the igniter which can’t be solved today, so we postpone the remaining tests for a later date.

During the engine update there’s time to enjoy an improvised food truck

The engine obviously got very hot. We’re making some changes and will ready again shortly

First round of test over. We heard a lot of fascinating loud steam engine bangs, worthy of a Rammstein concert. Maybe a new way of providing some income

We have begun loading liquid oxygen. Getting close now!

A stuck valve is giving us a short delay. We’re giving it the full wellness treatment with massage. Standby, soon ready

We’re live on YouTube//www.youtube.com/live/r3ZjTpxpI1I?feature=sharedTwitch is misbehaving, so go to YouTube
We’ve tested and prepped the fire suppression equipment – good to go!

Preparing the live stream studio for today’s broadcast

Where once hammers rang and ships took shape, we now stir the silence with dreams of the stars — preparing to launch a spaceship 🚀
