Channel 7 jumping back into the home renovation space after the disappointing ratings for last year’s Dream Home with My Reno Rules, also hosted by Dr Chris Brown.
I think getting Big Brother back is a good move for Ten - especially when it will give them content six nights per week. Hopefully going back to Dreamworld means back to basics. The only question is how many of today’s viewers will embrace BB in the age of Love Island.

The Assassin (Stan) getting mostly good reviews but I couldn’t get into it. Usually love Keeley Hawes in anything but this - not so much.
Last Thursday’s AFL match averaged 474k viewers nationally v NRL 628k. Friday AFL 453k v NRL 578k. Reach figures (people watch at least 1 min) favour AFL (1.568 mill and 1.949 mill) over NRL (1.493 and 1.249). A lot of viewers tuning into AFL but not watching entire match.
I wish the Bombers had never gone to Marvel Stadium (or whatever it was called back then). Should have stayed at the MCG.

Channel 7’s AFL team had to do some heavy lifting on 7 News and before the match last night to try and make Hawks v Blues seem must-watch and will have to do the same tonight for Bombers v Bulldogs.

I was looking forward to Washington Black (Disney+) but it is so determined to be uplifting that all the grit of the book has been airbrushed out. A pity.
Untamed is worth a binge. Eric Bana excellent in central role and Lily Santiago a standout too. Add in Sam Neill and stunning Yosemite scenery and what’s not to like. Will definitely appeal to fans of The Dry.
I love that Ozzy Osbourne was a next door neighbour of Pat Boone and did a Pepsi ad with Donny and Marie Osmond. (Apparently Ozzy loved The Osmonds’ Crazy Horses - which is an awesome song).

As a former Aussie TV network publicist can I ask why it is always the publicity department that pays for the incompetence of management and for misbegotten shows that don’t rate. Publicity departments do their best but often it is the duffers around them that are the problem.
