Yesterday, at @College_Promise's Increasing Prosperity for Young Men event at @OaklandCC, @GovWhitmer signed an Executive Directive to expand economic opp for young men across the state—marking the first official state action in our national effort to support their success.

This morning at @OCCollege, @GovWhitmer released her executive directive aimed at getting more men in Michigan engaged in higher education — arming them with the skills and credentials needed for good-paying careers.
It was an honor to host @GovWhitmer on our Auburn Hills campus today!
As I promised in my State of the State address, the directive I signed today instructs state departments who run our higher education and skills programs to make an active effort to reach more young men. This is an issue a lot of people didn’t expect me to focus on. 🧵
Today’s executive directive tells every young man in Michigan that we see them and want them to succeed. And I want every Michigander to know that we've got your back. We’re here to help you get on your feet and build the life you deserve.
