US tariffs impact: "This move actually extends the period of uncertainty, undermining long-term investment and business contracts. All these factors hit those with the most to lose, the hardest. In short, in today's context, a perfect storm is brewing." @CokeHamilton, @ITCnews
Tarifs douaniers américains: "Tous les pays ne subissent pas le même impact. Tous ces facteurs touchent le plus durement ceux qui ont le plus à perdre, comme les pays moins développés. Dans le contexte actuel, une tempête parfaite se prépare." @CokeHamilton, @ITCnews
When it comes to the green transition in Africa, investment has to be part of a larger whole. How do you ensure investment develops the continent? That value is added rather than extracted? There has to be investment in an ecosystem. At Africa Ireland Trade Horizons. #AITH2025

Now’s the time to strengthen trade and investment partnerships, at a time of unprecedented changes. The African-Irish relationship is long-standing, with a long-term vision. Thanks to Michael Gaffey and @Irish_Aid for your ongoing support of Africa’s development and @ITCnews.

Whenever I have the privilege of seeing our in-country work, I make it a point to connect with the wider UN family. With the UN Country Team in Uganda. Looking forward to building on our work towards sustainable, trade-led development, Resident Coordinator @1ZuluLeonard.

Wishing you all the best, @ASteiner, and thank you for your service and commitment to development. As we as the UN navigate the changing environment, we recommit to making sustainable, inclusive development a reality for all.
A final and heartfelt farewell call with @UN SG @antonioguterres. Eight years ago you invited me to join your team as @UNDP Administrator. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and dedication to multilateralism and peace. It’s been an honour to serve within the @UN family.
The world is changing and Uganda is rising to meet it. Sustainable business is coming through investment climate improvements, trade facilitation and e-commerce. Led by @mtic_uganda with @EUinUG support, we're targeting growth through small businesses, led by women and youth.

The cement that keeps the multilateral trading system working is trust. Or it's a free-for-all. For those who believe in stability and order, we have to fight to ensure we're on the right side of history. My message to joint university study tour group: intracen.org/news-and-event…

We held our first-ever Partnerships for Africa Day. The AfCFTA is the single most important decision made by heads of government of Africa in 60 years. It's critical we get this right. That's why partnerships matter. My statement: intracen.org/news-and-event…

Women in Mongolia have long worked and learned alongside men. It's fitting the first MOU we sign with a business support organization under our #WEIDEFund with @wto is with @mongol_chamber. With @NOIweala and @TurOdLkhagvajav, we'll work to see more women benefit from digital.
