Route 3a is open There are no closed roads at this time in Cohasset. Please use caution when driving. Never drive through water as you do not know how fast the water is moving or how deep it is. As always, dial 911 for all emergencies.

We are working to open all roads. There is still significant water on certain sections of road, including Rte. 3A, Beechwood by Norman Todd, Linden Drive, and others. If there is a barricade blocking the lane, DO NOT GO AROUND IT.




****ALERT***** 3A at Lower King closed due to flooding. Avoid area.


Route 3A northbound will be detoured between Pond Street and King Street starting at 7:00 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 26, due to a sinkhole that requires immediate attention and repair. Southbound traffic will not be affected and will continue to flow as normal.


Road work begins at 7AM on June 9th at the intersection of Chief Justice Cushing Highway (3A) and Pond Street. There is also work being done in other areas of Route 3A in Cohasset & Scituate

Officer Kimball saved two baby Fishers that were found in the hollow of a tree that had just been cut down. No luck w/ mom coming back for them last night. They now at New England Wildlife Center for care & rehab



On 4/1/26 Mass will require all boat & PWC operators to obtain a boater safety certificate by completing an approved boating safety course and passing a test. Cohasset Rec is partnering with the Coast Gaurd Auxiliary to offer three boating safety courses this year

3 cars were damaged this morning shortly after 8 AM in a parking lot accident at a medical building off Rt. 3A. The 64-y/o driver of a Jeep pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, causing the Jeep to climb a steep retaining wall and collide with 2 pakred cars in upper lot.
