If you’re a college coach are you ok taking a H.S. pitcher who has a history of arm injuries & surgeries & high wear & tear on his arm, or would you rather have a pitcher with no history of arm injuries and low inning count in his career & a fresher arm? Thoughts? Opinions?
The amount of H.S. Players that you’re going to see re-classing in the next few years because of the college portal is going to be mind boggling. This is going to start affecting a lot of public high schools as players think that extra year is going to help. Maybe it will, maybe…
High School Players/Parents read below, it’s real! I don’t think a lot of people understand what’s going on in College Baseball Recruiting!
I thought I would share this post again as College Camp Season is about to get begin here in August. As another weekend ends with players, parents and coaches all wondering there are not as many coaches at your games. In this new era of college programs having to spend more…
Not sure how this kid isn’t committed yet. One of the best H.S. players in the State hands down.
Since this tweet he had two hits at Fordham Tuesday, got on a plane Wednesday to UNCW hit a homerun and threw 89 there, took a plane home Thursday morning and went 7-12 with 4 xbh and two scoreless innings today. He should be in the conversation for Gatorade player of the year…
H.S. Players if you have the D1 only mentality, better think again. I see a ton of 2026’s that are big time players that have zero offers. Don’t close the door on any level. Recruiting for colleges has changed with the PORTAL!
Metrics have taken over Youth Baseball. That being said you see a lot of showcase only players & less players that know how to actually play the game. Situational awareness is suffering.
College Coach spitting out the facts!
I 100% do NOT care what your exit velo is if you don’t get on base. I 100% do NOT care what your pitch velocity is if you don’t throw strikes and keep the other team from scoring. Have a great night.
My 15U Fall Canes Tri-State team has 2 roster openings. Players are currently from CT, NY & RI. If interested please reach out. Competitive Team with a record of 225-25 the past 3 1/2 years.
I know Players, Parents, Coaches that think you can go to JUCO for 2 years and it doesn’t count for your college sports eligibility. This is not the case, JUCO does count. This was only for the Pavia Case.
Had a great conversation with a college coach about one of my H.S. Pitchers yesterday. High school coaches know the players makeup better than most, How they act at School, with their teachers, in the community and with their teammates.
Some things I like about PG events. They do a great job recognizing players, great job giving the winning team nice awards as well as individual awards, players do appreciate that. And the biggest thing is most of the tournaments we enter have very good talent!
One day you playing baseball will end, so enjoy every moment of it! It goes by way too fast!
