Oh we been screaming in to the void about coaches pay FOR YEARS! @PayFLCoaches has been working on this issue for a while and honestly they are closer to solving a lot of these issues than not.

* Lowest HSFB HC supplement in Fla. is $3,038 (Broward); highest is $8,317 (Charlotte). That’s per YEAR. * Only 23 of 64 counties pay for work in playoffs; 0-10 or 15-0 = same check. * Only 17 counties pay for spring. Show me a union member who works 2 months free in summer.
We just received any angry phone call from a Union Rep in Southwest Florida who said "Every coach in Florida makes minimum wage right now, not a single coach puts in more than 250 hours" 🤬 Please answer the question and if you'd like, tag your teacher's union. #PayFLCoaches

This is the reality for multiple coaches in almost every program in the state. In the summer Florida heat, multiple hours a day... working for free, while having to pay for childcare. Summer conditioning isn't optional, it's required. #PayFLCoaches
From a coach today in FL. "I spent $1,200 in childcare this summer so that I could coach our high school football team in the offseason... for free." That narrative has to change.
