Variations: •Ice to Blitz – After forcing sideline, the screener’s defender traps the ballhandler. •Ice to Switch – The two defenders switch matchups after forcing sideline. •Ice to Touch – The screener’s defender plays at the level of the screen
•How It Works: •Used on side pick-and-rolls. •The on-ball defender "ICES" the screen, preventing middle penetration. •The screener’s defender drops back, staying between the ball and the basket. •Once the on-ball defender recovers, the big returns to his man.
