Cool HIIT workout 🏋️ after a 2 mile trail walk to end my Saturday, Got in my 3rd workout of the week. Daily walk and 3 or 4 varied workouts. That’s the new physical standard I’m trying to hold myself to from now on. Time to get some studying 📚 prayer and meditation done!

Sitting outside on a summer night, reading a 📕, and a couple of old school conversations on the phone got me feeling alright. A perfect balance of socialization, brain 🧠 food, and pleasant outdoor weather before I go to bed.

Another person who passed today that may be lesser known, but that I loved cause I listen to a lot of jazz was Chuck Mangionne. Glad I got to see him live at what was then known as the Playboy Jazz festival at The Hollywood Bowl.

I was an Ultimate Warrior Guy and Ric Flair Guy. , so Hulk Hogan was always the rival. I did root for him during his beef with Andre The Giant though. Definitely an icon of my youth. Rest easy Hulk.

My son is a competitor. He plays to win. He hates to lose more than he likes to win. It doesn’t matter what he’s competing in. Like his father, emotions get the best of him when he loses. We had a nice teachable moment when he lost to big sister in front yard soccer 🥅 tonight.

For the years I’ve been trying to find some Velcro Pro Wings or some XJ- 900’s. Those were the OG struggle shoes from Pay Less and I loved them even when people talked shit when I was little. On the resale market them things are astronomical and used to be 20$ 😂

Had a morning coffee with a friend/mentor @CoachJohnRice who retired after 40 years of coaching/teaching and is moving to Texas in August. I appreciate him. Afterwards walked downtown Riverside, had a great French dip at Upper Crust and went to an awesome bookstore!

I’m not a meatloaf guy. But I saw this cook on instagram make a Mexican meatloaf and was intrigued. Instead of using ketchup and whatever people who think mayo is spicy use, you mix the meatloaf with cilantro 🌿, onion 🧅, jalapeno, Mexican cheese and taco seasoning. Straight 🔥!
