A no-holds-barred look at the new Ali Act amendment that would create the conditions for an inevitable TKO/Zuffa Boxing monopoly. The Zuffa Myth all over. It's as ugly as you can imagine. Here's what the Endeavor-flavored US sports media won't discuss. themmadraw.com/p/tko-and-ufc-…
The Ali Act has helped boxers. It forces promoters to disclose how much money comes in. It prohibits coercive contracts being used as a pre condition for important fights. It gives boxers the right to sue.
The belief that the Ali Act has protected boxers is misguided. The UFC is a better organization than any, including MVP for fighters. Yes UFC could pay the fighters a lot more, give them healthcare and pensions easily but chooses profits. But who in boxing is doing this? No one.…
Those that gripe that boxing has too many belts but like the idea of the Ali Destruction Act are just cheering on having even more belts.
Funny how all the gun shaggers in America are always claiming to be defending ‘civil liberties’ & now their Dear Leader is removing actual civil liberties they’re nowhere to be found. Almost like they were full of shit all along.
This woman is a damn hero 💞 Outside a Home Depot in Encinitas. “If you’re doing something right, take your *%#£|*% mask off!”
Genocide. Almost a third of people in Gaza not eating for days, UN food programme warns bbc.com/news/articles/…
Wait, what? You’re seriously saying this out loud? Who do you think you’re fooling? Shameful
As a former pro MMA fighter, I know the risks athletes take every time they step into the ring. So, I’m teaming up across the aisle to make sure pro boxers get the fair treatment and safety protections they deserve. 🥊#AliBoxingRevivalAct
If I could summarize the Ali ‘revival’ Act in a tweet it’s this. - The Ali Act prohibits promoters from having coercive contracts. The ‘revival’ Act says promoters can have all the coercive contracts they want if they create their own titles.
"In my most frank assessment, I would say that they are criminal. In my entire career have I never witnessed the level of brutality and use of indiscriminate and unnecessary force" Lt. Antony Aguilar tells Jeremy Bowen @BBCNews #Gaza #GazaStarving

Fun fact - The ABC never consulted with the Athletes Voice Committee about the Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act. They are telling the world that the ABC board is in “unanimous support” of it. Athletes NOT CONSULTED.
Well folks, its here. They are calling it the "Muhammad Ali American Boxing Revival Act" Boxers beware. Things are about to get real.
All professional combat sports athletes, fans, media: Please sign our petition in support of the real fighter protection bill—not the bill designed to exploit you and extend their monopoly to boxing. docs.google.com/forms/u/0/d/e/…
Here we go. TKO introduces a bill to weaken the Ali Act, carving out the right to sanction their own titles and run roughshod over state commissions like they do in MMA-- in return offering pitiful concessions like a $150 per round minimum purse sportico.com/law/analysis/2…

"Unified boxing organizations" = the only way to fight for our title is to be contractually obligated to us. This contradicts the spirit behind the creation of the Ali Act. If UBO's are closed entities, they can't honestly claim to promote world champions. jack.house.gov/sites/evo-subs…
