I warned about a dangerous financial void in Redditch after 3 credit union closures. With banks shutting branches, too many families are being pushed toward high-interest lenders. We need urgent reform to protect credit unions and keep finance fair, safe and local.
In Parliament, I challenged Ministers to make financial reform work for Redditch families—not just the City. 29 million people are stuck in low-interest accounts while investors see 9% returns. It’s time for real support and education so every saver can build long-term security.
