Coaches. Think like a farmer. Consider this as you go about developing your athletes.
Think like a farmer:
As a Coach, asking your players the simple question of “How is life outside of baseball?” every so often, can go much further than you think. It’s an easy way to potentially connect with your player’s and show you care about them as an actual person and not just as a player.
Don’t over cue your athletes or pitchers in general. The last thing you need is them thinking more than they already do. The super dome is a scary place. Often times the best are those who don’t think and just do.

The #1 Plyo Mistake Many athletes end up yanking their throws to the center line of the target. Amongst other factors (like going too heavy), this can lead to a pushing path & your first throws cutting in catch play. This is often made worse by throwing to narrow plyo walls.
Still looking for a home. This is from my last outing FB 90-93 SL 87-89 SPL 82-84 CB 80-82
Some clips from this summer in the Northwoods league. Still looking for a home for the fall.
It is absolutely invigorating to be around people who give a sh*t. It is absolutely demoralizing to be around people who don't give a sh*t. If you're a coach or leader (of any kind), you have an obligation to eliminate these attitudes, as they poison the culture from within.

Throwing and pitching are two different things. Let your guys pitch. Not throw. Throwing leads to not being engaged and making rash decisions. Pitching is calculating risks. Pitching is deciding on what route to take. Pitch, not throw.
I have made the decision to enter the transfer portal with my final year of eligibility. This past season I played SS & 2B for Southern Illinois University Carbondale. (425) 485-1044 IT/Cybersecurity major 3.8 GPA Playing for @bhambells in the WCL @PNW_CBR @d1baseball
