This week’s MMA session focused on supporting pupils’ mental wellbeing and helping them manage their high expectations 📈🧠. Students had the chance to create positive affirmation boxes, encouraging them to reflect on and celebrate their unique strengths 💪🏼. #MMABreakfast




We’re incredibly proud of our Brilliant Club scholars for completing their assignment on the contribution of British politicians in the post-war era. A huge well done to those who achieved an outstanding 1st class grade—an amazing achievement!
For our final MMA breakfast of the year, we welcomed back our incredible alumni Tasbeeha and Blessing! They spoke about navigating life as a more able student at Chiltern Academy and shared their inspiring journeys from Chiltern to Berkhamsted - and now Oxford University! ✨



This week, our Year 10 More Able students had a brilliant opportunity to explore post-16 options at @Cedars_Upper . They were particularly inspired by lessons in Criminology, Fashion, and Economics — a fantastic insight into future pathways! 🚏👏🏼 Thank you @Umara1Qureshi !




Congratulations to our Year 8 @BrilliantClub scholars who attended their graduation at Oxford University! 🎓 Over two terms, they wrote impressive 2,000-word university style essays on the role of British Prime Ministers in the post-war era, with some even earning a 1st! 🙌🏼



Another win for Chiltern Academy! 🏆 Our MMA students showcased their teamwork and problem-solving skills at the Science & Technology Challenge Day, hosted by @mcs_projectsltd at Cambridge University. Our students even took the top prize and are heading to the national final 👏🏼




At last week’s MMA breakfast, we were pleased to welcome TUI Engineering 🛬(virtually), who shared valuable insights into their apprenticeship programmes —from the application process through to career progression! 📈 @TUIUK


We’re proud to celebrate the students who qualified for and earned awards in the UKMT Junior Kangaroo Challenge 🦘🧮. Well done on this fantastic achievement!
The ‘Industry Insiders’ MMA breakfast continued this morning with Sophia and Rahul sharing insights on their EY graduate roles. Students were especially keen to hear about the apprenticeship pathways! #EYCareers #MMABreakfast #Apprenticeships



Our MMA breakfast visits continued this week with Cambridge PhD student 🎓Usama Javed, who shared his incredible work on the impact of ethnic minority scientists on the modern world 🌍. A truly eye-opening session that sparked meaningful conversations!



Congratulations to all students who sat the UKMT Maths Challenge! A special shout out to our four students who achieved the Gold award, placing them in the top 8% of students nationally, and will be progressing onto the Junior Kangaroo! @UKMathsTrust
Our Year 10 more able students visited Wadham College, Oxford this week 🎓. @wadhamoxford Highlights included a campus tour, Q&A with students, a session on Egyptology, and a visit to the Ashmolean Museum 🏫. A truly inspiring and enriching experience!



Phase 2 of our MMA Breakfast: Industry Insiders continued this week with Dentistry graduate Dr Anika Aris! 🎓 Students gained valuable insight into her journey from secondary school to King's College London, along with a look into the realities of working as a dentist! 🦷



This week, our MMA Breakfast launched Phase 2: Industry Insiders! We're inviting guests from various fields to share their inspirational career journeys. First up: Dr. Rumaanah Khatun, who discussed her experiences at Imperial University and her new role as a junior doctor! 🩺



Our MMA students proudly represented Chiltern Academy at another exciting debating competition today at @LutonSixthForm! They tackled thought-provoking topics ranging from whether humans should eat animals to whether countries should possess nuclear weapons. 🏅




Should obesity be treated on the NHS? At this week's MMA breakfast, students were challenged to distinguish between health and social care, before engaging in a debate about whether conditions resulting from lifestyle choices should be treated by public health services. 🩺🏥



Our MMA students proudly represented Chiltern Academy at the South Hampstead Debating Competition @Debate_Hub_ . With great enthusiasm, they engaged in debates set in fictional worlds. After a challenging competition, our KS3 group emerged as one of the main winners! 🏆📣




This week's MMA breakfast was led by the excellent engineering department, where students were eager to learn about the technical sketches ✍🏽 involved in designing tiny homes.🏠 Thank you Mr Green!



Last Saturday, our Y9 students stepped into the roles of lawyers at the magistrates' court for a mock trial competition. Both the prosecution and defense teams worked hard to secure a guilty or not guilty verdict for their ‘clients’ ! 👨🏽⚖️👩🏼⚖️ @YoungCitizensUK
