Pleasure to be at @BAESystemsplc Barrow yesterday with @MartinJConnell meeting some of the incredibly talented people from industry working on the next generation of our nuclear submarines #teamDNE

The nuclear weapons technology delivered at @AWE_plc keeps this country safe every minute of the day. It was a privilege to meet many of the staff and apprentices working there yesterday. The work they do doesn’t just protect us, it's an engine for growth across the UK.

What an honour to attend the Keel Laying ceremony today in Barrow for the first #Dreadnought submarine. As the most advanced submarine ever built in the UK – it's part of a truly national endeavour supporting tens of thousands of UK jobs & our future security. @SDA_mod

I was delighted to be in Sydney with our @AustSubAgency & @DeptofDefense partners for the final AUKUS SSN Executive Group meeting of 2024. It was great to reflect on the progress we have made on the Optimal Pathway so far, and to look ahead to a busy 2025. #AUKUS
