Notes from the Field This AM, Imani stood by the shore and started piping. El and Bean came out of the vegetation and scurried towards him. Imani took off, landing on the pier. El and Bean followed Imani in flight, crossing the pier, then returning to the beach. Strong flights!

GENERATIONS Flight training for Bean, El, and Ferris is going tremendously well with flights increasing each day in duration, length, and elevation. Your Chicago Piping Plover fledglings will be starting their migration journeys soon. Time truly flies! 📸: Daniel Eastman
