Should Essex have 3 or 5 councils in future? 🧐 We're backing a proposal for 5 new councils that would see Chelmsford joining up with Maldon and Brentwood. Others want 3 councils, where Chelmsford would be grouped together with Maldon, Brentwood, Harlow and Epping.

Great progress has been made on the construction of Beaulieu Park Station and it’s on track to open this autumn - earlier than first expected. Thanks to @MurphyGroup1951, @NetworkRailAng and all the project partners for their hard work to get us to this stage.

As of this morning, Bow Bridge is now open to both road traffic and foot traffic. 🎗️✂️ We know many of you have been eager to see the bridge open for some time, so a big thank you for your patience while the final checks were carried out. 🙏
