I pledge allegiance to the Hip Hop.
"Gangsta, Gangsta" can still compete for the hardest hip-hop record of all time, in my opinion.
LOX. Dipset could use a trim. Some of those beats on LOX are terrible. They make the songs good strictly off their rapping.
Lloyd Banks has his foot on the gas pedal right now with no sign of letting up. He's been dropping quality project after project, and now he's on a dope freestyle run.
"Monster" was the launch of Future into a superstar and the beginning of his crazy run. 5 mic tape.
He absolutely is. I’ll never forget when he jumped on stage at The Roots Picnic during the Pharrell and The Roots set.
He's winning with the N*E*R*D formula in 2025. He has to be heavily influenced by them.
Prime Neptune's production had such great bridges in the song. That was probably the last great era of the bridge in songs.
If I had to guess, I'd say about 5% of my timeline knows about this album and artist.

"Carter III" was the commercial outbreak of Wayne, so it gets high praise being the album launching him into superstardom. "Carter II" is the superior album easily. The music is just better.
I’ve always felt Carter 2 was better than Carter 3.
It pisses me off that the industry didn't have her back! She was and still is an icon.
Janet Jackson was effectively blacklisted in 2004 and it really sickens me how ppl don’t know just how MASSIVE she was before then. For DECADES.
1995 was the birth of this iconic shoe.
what happened in 1995
I'd just like to appreciate that these two landmark albums in hip-hop came out less than a year apart.
Hip-Hop has always been centered around debate. That will never change.

Tyler, the Creator's 'DON’T TAP THE GLASS' to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 215K units, reflecting less than four days of release (via @HITSDD).
Enough is enough.
"Power: Origins," the "Power" prequel series exploring the origin story of Ghost and Tommy, has received an 18-episode order at Starz. “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” star MeKai Curtis will reprise his role of Kanan Stark in the show. wp.me/pc8uak-1lG5Aa
UGK, 8Ball & MJG, Outkast & Goodie Mob. All southern hip-hop groups who were in their prime making music all around the same time. None of their music sounds remotely the same. That's the diversity that's missing today.
