While I agree, it’s 2025 No one’s taking the moral high ground on anything anymore. Taking the moral high ground implies you think on a fundamental level you think the other person is below you. Everyone’s fighting dirty because they’ve been told the ground is level

The problem with saying “rape isn’t about sex but power” is that it misunderstands why sexual violence is distinct from physical violence. If it were about exerting power, a man could simply physically assault a woman. The “sex” is the added humiliation.
Once you understand that rape isn’t about sex but about power, domination, and control… it stops being baffling and starts being terrifying. It’s about making someone feel small, worthless, voiceless, breakable.
