It’s been a couple of years since the Houston Cougars had a big that could stretch the floor. The last time, a 5 star freshman who went one and done and got drafted as top ten pick in Jarace Walker. Potentially next in line, Chris Cenac Jr?
Technically, just getting to the AFC championship alone would be the most important moment in franchise history.
If we get to a Super Bowl with the Stroud/Ryans/Caserio squad, I’d preemptively call this the most important moment in franchise history.
Part of what made this so special is Stroud did it as a rookie. For a franchise desperately in search of a QB, this game gave Houston an answer.
It's notable that it's an 8th game of a regular season for a 20+ year old franchise because they severely lack huge offensive moments, especially in the postseason. Thus slotting it the top 10 might not be met with much debate.
I could make an argument this drive is one of the ten greatest moments in Texans history.
