Requisitioned (08.39) minesweeping trawler HMT Fleming Sk. Ernest G. Gurney RNR: Lost 24.07.40. Bombed & sunk while in company with HMT Berberis in the Thames Estuary, 4 German a/c attacked (2 per vessel). She received a direct hit & sank rapidly, 21 of the crew were sadly lost.

River class frigate HMAS Hawkesbury (K 363): Launched 24.07.43.

BYMS class minesweeper HMBYMS 2079 (J 879) T/A/Lt.Cdr. A F Fox, RNVR: Commissioned 24.07.43

Algerine (Turbine engined) class minesweeper HMS Squirrel (J 301) Lt. Malcolm Buist, RN: Lost 24.07.45. Mined & sustained heavy damage off Phuket, Siam. Took on heavy list due to flooding. Abandoned & scuttled by gunfire from Force 63 ships. 7 of the crew were sadly lost.
