18 months ago, I got a call from Dawn saying her boyfriend was trying to escape a life coaching group...that was actually a cult. It started the weirdest & most fascinating investigation of my career. A Very British Cult is out now. Watch @BBCiPlayer: bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…
My investigation is the most read story on the BBC this morning: Medications which cause sexual urges as a side effect are leading to women and children being exploited Men have been convicted, become addicted to illegal porn and sexually coerced women bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
How MI5 piled falsehood on falsehood in the case of a spy who abused women bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
The charges involve three women, with two counts of rape relating to one woman, three counts of rape in connection to a second woman and one count of sexual assault linked to a third woman.
Footballer Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The offences are reported to have taken place between 2021-2022. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
MI5 is in this mess because they covered for a violent misogynist state agent who used his role to coerce and abuse Abuse must never be excused, nor abusers protected MI5 underestimated our determination to hold them to account Now they know bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Despite all of her evidence, she was told by the CPS that no charges would be brought. She hired a lawyer costing £20,000 and appealed. Eventually, 10 charges were brought against her ex-partner after it was found the police had not handed over key evidence.
She had a suitcase full of documents proving her ex-partner's psychological and physical abuse. Photos of injuries. Text messages. A 32 page chronology. She shared it with officers, but says they repeatedly failed to grasp the seriousness of her case. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
10 years since coercive control became a crime, some police forces are failing to support and protect victims. Caroline says she became a detective in her own abuse case due to police failings. I’ve heard this a lot. She's bravely allowed us to follow her fight for justice...
Usually I have to explain a story in 2-3 minutes. The good folk at Newscast allowed Suzanne and I to have a proper discussion about why maternity services are struggling.
Thank you to @BBCSocial #Newscast and @adamfleming for asking me to discuss with @BBCMBuchanan the National inquiry into maternity care which has just been announced @LeighDay_Law
Two months later, and following the BBC's further investigation, Jhaj was filmed posing naked in front of a mocked-up BBC News lorry in London which had been set on fire. Fake police vehicles had also been hired and set on fire
In 2024, Jhaj was interrupted giving gifts to children outside dance auditions for another production - he was recognised by a parent who had seen the BBC article. A well-known US dance choreographer had been hired at huge cost to run the auditions
In 2023, hundreds of children were hired to play his fawning fans at a fake film premiere in London's Leicester Square Some children hired from casting agencies were as young as 6 Teenage girls said they had been asked to scream and touch him, without being told his identity by…
I've been investigating paedophile Jacky Jhaj for two years He's been charged in connection with organising a "mock wedding" to a 9yo at Disneyland I've previously reported how he's repeatedly staged productions involving children hired as his "fans" bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
New from me: scores of patients are owed thousands of pounds after their IVF clinic went bust practically overnight bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Huge response every time we do this story. This came from hundreds of responses to a story by colleagues at file on four. 60 percent of households have a pet so this is likely to be one for you bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
NEW - Nearly 70 families & 5 whistleblowers previously told me about safety concerns - today Maternity services at Leeds NHS trust have been downgraded from good to "inadequate" by CQC, because their failings posed "a significant risk" to women & babies. bbc.com/news/articles/…
New - nearly 50 new families & three new whistleblowers contact the BBC about inadequate maternity care at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS trust. It follows our investigation earlier this year into potentially avoidable harm to babies & mums. bbc.com/news/articles/…
Listening to this properly at last. Unreal.

This began with a woman who’d been abused by an MI5 agent - so badly that she had a mental breakdown Today MI5 is in the high court over its false evidence in the case Violence against women and girls is unacceptable, as is protecting abusers bbc.com/news/articles/…
I've been involved designing a cool new podcast series with @QA_Ltd: "When Technology Goes Wrong". It's encouraging honesty about tech fails & what we can learn from them. Ep 1 is out TODAY. And I'm on it - talking about lessons from the OneCoin scam youtube.com/watch?v=8LVKmG…
