The oldest, still-performing bluesman in the world has died. "Cadillac" John Nolden was 98 years old. He was a beautiful person. His final show was w/Bill Abel at Clarksdale's Juke Joint Fest in April. (Watercolor painting by Clint Herring. Photo by Michael Lepek in April.) RIP

Thanks to Atlanta Mag for including Clarksdale's "well-worn" CAT HEAD store in its 49 Essential Music Destinations. (Ha. At least they didn't say the owner was "well-worn"!) Nice Rory Doyle pic, btw. Makes me look like a happy pirate at the helm of the CAT HEAD galleon.
