Carers Wales is the Welsh wing of @CarersUK. We support the 310,000 people in Wales who care for an older relative, a sick partner or a disabled family member.
The Universal Credit Bill passed in Parliament last night and will become law. We remain very concerned about changes the Bill makes to the health element of UC for new claimants from April 2026. We’ll continue to challenge these changes given the financial impact they'll have.
