Cardiff Stop the War was first launched 22 years ago, the week after 9/11. We are the oldest still-active peace group in the capital city of Wales. This is our new account. We look forward to sharing information on local, national and global peace and Palestine issues and actions

Gaza is being starved. Methodically, deliberately. A famine imposed by a genocidal apartheid regime armed and supported by Western governments. This is no natural disaster. It is a direct result of Israel’s illegal siege. History will remember who stood by and who stood up.

Incredible energy at today’s emergency #StopStarvingGaza protest in Cardiff. Activists walked into Starbucks & McDonald’s to speak directly to customers about the boycott, and then blocked a road in urgent solidarity with Gaza. Human dignity is non-negotiable.

BREAKING: The Long March for Palestine has arrived at the Senedd in Cardiff. These principled marchers walked from Swansea demanding an end to the genocide in Gaza, an end to apartheid, and justice for the Palestinian people.

The Gaza Peace March left Swansea yesterday and arrives in Cardiff today with its message: stop arming Israel, end apartheid. Come to the Senedd to greet the 60 walkers - flags, banners, snacks and solidarity welcome.

This Saturday marks 1 year since the world’s highest court, the International Court of Justice, ruled Israel guilty of the crime of apartheid and declared its military occupation illegal. The judgment obliges all states to impose an arms embargo and sanctions.

Much love and respect to Aberystwyth Town Council for voting unanimously to fly the flag of Palestine above its medieval castle for the next two weeks. On 26 July, during the Red Line for Palestine march, that flag will fly high for Gaza. Truth crushed to earth shall rise again.
