Canada spends over $30 billion a year propping up fossil fuels. What if that money went toward building a better future? What would you create with $30 billion?

Indigenous rights and climate justice is non-negotiable. Bill C-5 gives cabinet sweeping power to fast-track projects without meaningful consultation or review. Our future can’t be sacrificed in the name of so-called “nation-building” to serve the corporate elite.

Pipelines aren’t the way to build this country forward. It’s time to reclaim “nation-building” and make it mean something that actually serves people, not just corporate profits. The future we want is possible.

#ThrowbackThursday This question from Elizabeth May in 2022 feels more urgent than ever. Democracy depends on our shared commitment to truth, nonpartisanship, and collaboration. We must remain dedicated to protecting those values
Instead of taking action on the housing crisis, Carney’s first move in Parliament was to ram through Bill C-5, then head out for summer break. This is a crisis, it’s time the government acted like it. People need affordable housing, and the Greens won’t stop fighting for it

Canada’s housing crisis didn’t happen overnight, and it won’t be solved by the same insiders who helped create it. It’s time for bold, people-first leadership.

Read our statement on the constitutional challenge of federal Bill C-5 and provincial Bill 5 now:

It’s #ThrowbackThursday. As Manitoba declares yet another wildfire emergency fuelled by climate inaction we’re revisiting this 2022 call from @ElizabethMay: “We must be focused on a very rapid move to net zero.”
Watch now: Green Party Leader @ElizabethMay responds to Trump’s latest tariff threats, and lays out the Green approach to fighting back 💪🟢
Disasters aren’t just more frequent, they’re deadlier. These tragedies are the result of decades of delay, denial, and fossil fuel loyalty from those in power. The Green Party refuses to look away. We’re here to fight for real action.

When the government says it can’t afford to invest in the future we deserve, what they really mean is they won’t ask the ultra-wealthy to pay their fair share. With a wealth tax we can fund affordable housing, climate action, and a livable future for all!

This summer, keep cool and green! Caring for our planet while making the most of the season can go hand in hand 💚☀️

This Canada Day, we're celebrating the people, places, and communities that make this country home. Here's to a future that's green, just, and built for everyone 🇨🇦

Meet Douglas Gook, Green Party candidate for Battle River–Crowfoot! Douglas is a longtime environmental activist, ecological forester, and farmer who brings decades of experience in sustainability and community action. We’re proud to have Douglas representing the Green voice

Happy Pride from the Green Party of Canada! Pride is a celebration and a reminder that justice and safety for 2SLGBTQIA+ people is non-negotiable. We remain committed to building a Canada where 2SLGBTQIA+ communities truly thrive. Let’s build a future where everyone is free 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

Opposition is supposed to hold government accountable, not help it pass dangerous legislation. The Green Party is ready to be the real opposition and fight for a democracy that serves people, not corporations. We’re not here to play along. We’re here to push back.

Extreme heat, wildfires, and no word from Carney on tackling the climate crisis. Climate policy in this country is as cooked as the rest of us 😫

There’s no climate justice without Indigenous justice. The future we’re fighting for is one led by Indigenous voices, knowledge, and rights. #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay

Climate change is making food more expensive, not in the future, but right now. The Green Party knows we can’t tackle affordability without confronting the climate crisis head-on. Supporting our farmers and protecting our food systems starts with bold climate action.

When you voted to block the Conservatives… and get Conservative policies anyway 🫠
