The meeting of a lifetime. Soldiers from Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) (LdSH(RC)), who are currently representing the Canadian Army as the King's Life Guard, had the rare opportunity to meet with His Majesty the King, the regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief.

Congratulations to The Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians), who will mount the King’s Life Guard in July. Only one other unit from outside the UK has done so, making this a rare honour. I know they will represent us well.

Recently, seasoned Joint Terminal Attack Controllers gathered in Wainwright, Alberta, for an advanced course designed to sharpen their skills as instructors and evaluators. They will ensure the next generation of JTACs is ready to lead in complex, high-stakes environments.
From today until July 21, Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) mount the King’s Life Guard at Horse Guards - only the 3rd non-UK unit in history to do so. A proud moment of Canadian nationhood & sovereignty, and a great example of Canada’s enduring commitment to its Allies.
