LA homelessness declined for the second year in a row. The 2025 PIT count shows substantial movement off the streets, into shelter, and out of homelessness, and homeless services system continues to move people into permanent housing in greater numbers.
With a 4% drop in homelessness & unsheltered homelessness down 9.5%, this year’s Homeless Count is trending downward in Los Angeles County. While this trend is encouraging, challenges remain. Continued focus on collaboration, prevention, & housing is required for more progress.
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for the northern and central Sac. Valley, northern foothills, and the northern Sierra and southern Cascades, from 11 AM Friday to 11 PM Sunday. Widespread Moderate HeatRisk with areas of Major HeatRisk is expected, so be sure to plan ahead! #CAwx
