South African media will threaten us with “investor sentiment” and the investors in question are bondholders
Fantastic decision! Super competent and measured leader, can’t wait to see him at the forefront.
The appointment of Buti Manamela is a great decision.
Really great to see! I wish there was a platform where we could constantly track the commitments from the investment conference and see what stage they’re at. It could help dispel the narrative that nothing comes out of the conferences.
This is a factory in the East Rand, Gauteng, manufacturing packaging. They pledged an investment in the Investment Conference. They are now commissioning the machines. High value manufacturing, and they are also doing import substitution.

Hayi but other countries were fought independence wars against countries whose economic and military resources were dilapidated by WW2.
Our independence was negotiated not like other countries... So, the shoe fits, and we are not concerned enough.
Social programs like the child assistant grant, social relief grant, I believe do act to preserve political stability in this country. Though I disagree that unemployment is as low as 10%.
Maybe the outgoing capitec ceo was onto something, revolutions are triggered by hunger not unemployment
