Eighty-one years ago today, on June 6, 1944, Lt. Stevens suffered a fatal heart attack while on patrol in the CT River.

CSP remembers Trooper Russell Bagshaw, ambushed at an interrupted burglary on June 5, 1991, in Windham before he could even use his radio or exit his cruiser. Tpr Bagshaw had been a Trooper for 4 years prior to making the ultimate sacrifice.

96 years ago today, Trooper Hellberg of New Britain was fatally injured in a motorcycle fall. The accident occurred on June 1, 1929.

TFC Greene died on 5/31/2018, from cancer caused by toxin exposure from the World Trade Center after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. TFC Greene & his K-9 partner helped search for survivors. TFC Greene was a 28-year veteran of CSP, as well as a Marine Corps Veteran.

TFC Pelletier was conducting a traffic stop on I-84 in Southington when he was struck & killed by an impaired driver. TFC Pelletier graduated with the 125th Training Troop in Dec. 2015 & assigned to Troop H, Hartford. He was also a K9 Handler with the Emergency Services Unit.

TFC Baron died on May 25, 2020, from cancer resulting from his response to the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks on 9/11. This is classified as a line of duty death. He served at Troop A in Southbury, Troop G in Bridgeport & the Traffic Services Unit.

Auxiliary Trooper Phillip A. Mingione of Milford had stopped and was standing outside his vehicle on I-91 in North Haven when a passing motorist lost control of their vehicle, struck and killed Auxiliary Trooper Mingione.
