From a reduction in our carbon footprint, to sequestering carbon in the soil & promoting biodiversity on the landscape, together, beef farmers, ranchers & so many more are working together across Canada to continually improve how cattle are raised & how beef gets to your plate.
Producer viability is key for the Canadian beef supply chain. Our 2021 assessment shows increased profitability per head since 2014, despite rising input costs. Alberta and Saskatchewan feedlot capacity grew 19% from 2015-2022. Source: crsb.ca/nbsa
