I was pleased to join Mayor Gloria and some real life super heroes to help kickoff Comic-Con 2025! Thank you to @Comic_Con, @SDConventionCtr , the @sdtaconnect, and all of the dedicated volunteers who help make #SDCC one of the most anticipated weekends of the year.

Heading to Comic-Con? ⚡Harbor Drive will be closed to vehicles, bikes, scooters, and skateboards between First Ave and Park Blvd on: July 23: 2 p.m. - 1 p.m. July 24–26: 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. July 27: 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Only emergency vehicles + ADA devices (with badge) allowed.
Comic-Con is here! As MTS Chair, I’m proud the Trolley gets you there—no traffic, no parking stress, just hop on and go. Whether you’re heading to the Convention Center or just checking out all of the action downtown, transit will save the day! 🦸♀️🦸

This weekend, I proudly joined our community in the San Diego Pride Parade. As a proud member of our community, I know how important it is to be visible and to speak out. I will always stand for the right for everyone to live as their authentic selves in San Diego and beyond.

Pride is about choosing joy over shame and visibility over fear. At our #SDPride Kickoff at City Hall, I stood with @CMWhitburnD3, @marnivonwilpert, @CM_Jencampbell, and other LGBTQ+ friends and allies to celebrate our community’s power and progress. #Forward #ForAllofUs
The City Council just voted unanimously to support my resolution backing AB 1127 to ban DIY machine guns. These deadly weapons can fire 1,200 rounds a minute. We must close this loophole and protect our neighborhoods. Thank you!

July is officially LGBTQ+ Pride Month in the City of San Diego! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ I’m proud to help lead our city in celebrating Pride and uplifting the strength, history, and ongoing contributions of San Diego’s LGBTQ+ community.

My statement on the community's vision to revitalize the Civic Center.

Congratulations, Supervisor-Elect @paloma4D1 ! I look forward to working alongside a strong advocate on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. Together, we will continue delivering for our shared downtown communities. Let’s get to work!

As Chair of the City’s ATI Committee, I’m pleased to share that 500 miles of paving and resurfacing were completed in FY25, a major milestone for our city. Special thank you to Transportation Dept. Director Bethany Bezak and her team for their hard work and dedication.

Honored to host the Lucky Lane renaming ceremony in tribute to North Park icon Lucky Wong. His impact on our community was immense, and this street stands as a permanent reminder. Thank you to @tributepizza , @NPMainStreet & everyone who made this happen
Today I raised serious concerns after learning that unidentified men threw a hotel worker to the ground and took her away. We’ve since learned they were federal agents acting under the direction of DHS. I will not stay silent as authoritarian tactics play out in our communities.
🚨 MAJOR BUDGET WIN FOR DISTRICT 3 🚨 Thanks to the advocacy of over 1,600 residents and dozens of organizations, funding is secured in the FY26 budget to study long-overdue improvements at the Park-El Cajon-Normal intersection! Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Last week, I attended the Ballpark District Open House to learn about new safety and cleaning services coming to 22 blocks of Downtown. Grateful to @padres & @downtownsandiego for driving this work forward!

Today, we recognize the harm inflicted on Black Americans in the era of slavery, and we celebrate liberation and resilience. I was honored to join my colleagues in proclaiming today as Juneteenth Day. We must continue to address the historic and ongoing harm to Black Americans

Shoutout to An's Dry Cleaning for being ranked No. 1 ice cream shop in America for the second year in a row! I am proud to have such an outstanding business in my district. If you haven't already, visit An's in North Park! sandiegouniontribune.com/2025/06/18/san…
Happy Birthday to my Chief of Staff Jacob O’Neill and Deputy Chief of Staff Ryan Darsey. Thank you for everything you do to serve the constituents of District 3, we appreciate you!

Last Friday, I had the honor of attending the annual Luminaries Luncheon hosted by @lgbtcenter . The event was a powerful celebration of the incredible work being done by The Center, LGBTQ+ organizers, and allies who continue to uplift and advocate for our community!

Happy Father’s Day! Today we celebrate and thank all the dads and father figures who provide strength, support, and love in our lives. Enjoy your special day!
Yesterday, my Deputy Chief of Staff, Ryan Darsey presented Kiwanis Hillcrest All-Inclusive with a poclamation celebrating their 4-year anniversary and community impact. A special thank you for making me an honorary member!
