Diane was a pillar of @JohnsHopkinsMMI and indeed all of @JohnsHopkins . She was also a close collaborator of our @JohnsHopkinsBMB faculty. Her kindness, collaboration and mentorship will not be forgotten.
Very sad to hear this news. Dr. Diane Griffin was an inspirational leader and scientist who was a pioneer in virology. She paved the way for other women to pursue and succeed in science. She will be sorely missed. Her legacy will live on 💐

This probably goes a little counter to the vibe, but for me...making the decision recently to step away from my Ph.D. and instead focus on "mastering out". Poured so much time, energy, & everything into my work; putting it away -- perhaps for now, perhaps forever -- was tough.
