Today's headline by the Monitor Newspaper is unacceptable. Despite my counsel to their top Management regarding yesterday's offensive headline, the paper continues to act with impunity. The Media ought to be objective and should always observe minimum broadcasting standards.

I have just visited Col Dr Kiiza Besigye at Luzira prison in the presence of his personal doctors. I have given him counsel and asked him to resume taking food as the government fast tracks the transfer of his case from the court martial to a civil court.
I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Brig. Gen. Charles Oluka, the Director General of Internal Security Organization. His remarkable service and commitment to ensuring a secure Uganda will always be remembered! May his soul rest in eternal peace.

President Y.K Museveni has today launched the 5th phase of the National Backbone Infrastructure(NBI) project in Moroto. Under the first 4 phases, 53 districts were reached with the internet fibre. Phase 5 will extend it to the remaining districts & also do last mile connections.

Today,as President @KagutaMuseveni inaugurates Phase V of the NBI, broadband is transforming Uganda by narrowing the digital divide. Throughout Uganda’s entirety, the digital economy is unlocking unprecedented opportunities in education, employment and entrepreneurship.@MoICT_Ug

H.E @KagutaMuseveni,will be giving a national address on security and other critical national issues today at 8 PM. All radio and TV stations should make arrangements to air this important address live! @MoICT_Ug @ubctvuganda

What happened in Parl. of Uganda. today is unfortunate. MPs going physical with @ other is unacceptable. As MPs, we fight using our brains on the microphone. The tendency for Opposition MPs to always be disruptive after failing to make credible arguments should be condemned.
I am honored to welcome Dr. Lawrence Muganga,Vice Chancellor of Victoria University, and his journalism students to the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance today. Together,we’re building Uganda’s future!
