On this #WildlifeWednesday, we’re highlighting this beautiful shot of a Mexican bush katydid (Scudderia mexicana) hiding underneath a rose leaf @HearstCastleSHM. Katydids are related to grasshoppers and crickets and are known for their extremely long antennae.

It’s International Rock Day! California’s state parks are famous for their rocks. In fact, we have several parks with the word “rock” in them, like Castle Rock SP, Red Rock Canyon SP, and Indian Grinding Rock SHP in the Sierra foothills. Rock on!
