Today, i received the UNESCO delegation from France and N'bi. UNESCO, in partnership with China Funds in Trust III, supports technical competence educ and skills needs mapping in 6 African ctries. CEDAT Mak and MUST were selected for this work-based learning. @MakerereNews
Today, i received Prof Michael Lindsey, Dean, Silver Sch.of social work, New York Univ. Together with Prof. Ssewamala, Founder of Intern Centre for Child &Dvpt. (ICHAD), which promotes research-driven policy and works with Min Health, Mak, and MUST. @MakerereNews, @ProfNawangwe
Today, we received Prof Lin, President of Zhonghan Ophthalmic Centre, Sun Yay-Sen University, China. With Chinese funding, an MOU has been signed to enable ZOC to establish a hi-tech eye hospital to conduct cutting-edge research and provide eye care services. @MakerereNews
Mak continues to invest in quality doctoral education. Today, we launched the Training of Trainers in Advanced Research Methods and Pedagogy. The Dir. Graduate Training is coordinating this capacity dvpt effort. @MakerereNews

Today, I joined HE. Maria Hansson, Amb. Sweden and Dr Musenero, Min STI, at graduation of Inclusive Green Economy fellows, run by Mak-EfD and Univ Gothernburg, funded by Sida. Mak is a hub for Green industrial innovations and E-mobility to mitigate climate change.@MakerereNews
Today, UBOS donated 700 scientific tablets to Mak. The tabs will enhance our mobile data collection, analysis, and reporting. They will also help bridge the digital divide, improve access, and strengthen our capacity to provide high-quality stat services. @MakerereNews

Today, Mak hosted an extra ordinary meeting of the Uga VCs Forum. All the 56 VCs attended in person and discussed the effectiveness and sustainability of the Higher Educ Certificate as a bridge and access pathway to HE. The NCHE is currently evaluating the HEC. @MakerereNews
Today, I acted as VC's proxy to open the CHUSS PhD. Symposium 2025. With funding from Lisa Maskell, fellows from PANGeA univ of Younde, Nrobi, Dar, Malawi, Stellenbosch, Ghana, Botswana, Mak gathered to share their research work and gain academic writing skills. @MakerereNews

Today, I officiated at the training workshop of Arabic Language, jointly organised by Sch Languages, Chuss and King Salman Global Academy. HE Amb of Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, graced the event and promised to establish the Arabic Language Centre Inshallah. @MakerereNews
Today, I opened the 2days Social Work conf. under the theme "Building resilient communities to promote Equity, Social Justice and Inclusion for the SDGs. CHUSS is implementing the Resilient project funded by Norway. The Min Gender & Social Dvpt was chief guest. @MakerereNews
CIVIS 2025 is happening at Sapienza Univ Rome, Italy, where VC delegated me to sign the CIVIS-Africa MOU. Mak is a key player in the CIVIS, an alliance of 11 EU Univ and 6 African Univ for academic and scientific knowledge production to meet African Agenda 2063. @MakerereNews
Korea Govt is funding Mak to dvpt its Masterplan for Distance Learning. A workshop was held at Hotel African to discuss the future of distance educ and how the project will enhance dvpt of an integrated platform, content, competence, and partnerships.@MakerereNews
