#BREAKING: In NC Supreme Court race, Griffin has wrongly accused at least 30 voters of never residing in NC, including 22 with a history of in-person voting. With court action imminent, I pulled an all-nighter to bring you this paywall-free story. #ncpol substack-proxy.glitch.me/articles/ander…
Sad, but not surprising that it took a rival outlet and public backlash for WRAL to remember that a story wasn't theirs. Now do the same for Axios and Politico on Cooper and Whatley news. Surely this basic journalistic standard can apply to #ncpol coverage.
Credit where it's due: WRAL edited its story and credited @newsobserver for our reporting, only after we reached out to them about the issue.
Lara Trump confirms she's not running for US Senate. #ncpol
After much consideration and heartfelt discussions with my family, friends, and supporters, I have decided not to pursue the United States Senate seat in North Carolina at this time. I am deeply grateful for the encouragement and support I have received from the people of my…
This WRAL story appears to have just been updated minutes ago. Just like it did yesterday in omitting Axios’ report of Cooper news, WRAL is once again giving readers the false impression it reported something wholly on its own. This time, not a single mention of Politico. #ncpol
And here WRAL is this morning not citing Politico's reporting, but instead an unbylined article highlighting NBC News (WRAL is an NBC affiliate). #ncpol
Mr. @jrgoodmon, do the right thing: Fix your newsroom's selective attribution policies! And free your reporters from non-competes so they may leave for other outlets if they wish. Your newsroom, your viewers and your readers and #ncpol media will all be better for it. #ncpol
This is gross and not the first time I have seen them do this. Y'all have some serious talent over there so I know you can do better. We always acknowledge your hard work; let's play fair.

It's almost like this is a pattern... And this time, with no reporter name attached to it. Curious.
Let’s be clear @WRAL: UNC did not “announce” the settlement with Yan’s family. @VirginiaBridges worked for months to get the documents showing the settlement existed. Then UNC acknowledged the agreement today after we contacted them about it.
SCOOP: RNC Chair Michael Whatley will soon announce his run for Senate in North Carolina with the full support of President Trump. Lara Trump opted to stay in her gig at Fox News and will also support Whatley in what will be one of next year’s most hotly watched (and $$) races.
I’m Bryan and I approve this message.
Come on @RoyCooperNC, just go ahead and make it official so reporters can stop writing the "he's expected to announce" and "political tea leaves point to a run" stories #ncpol
If folks want a proper contextual reading of today's Cooper's news, here ya go--> #ncpol andersonalerts.substack.com/p/cooper-senat…

Lucille’s departure from journalism is a big loss. She broke the Cotham party switch story and has aggressively covered the legislature. I’ll be personally sad to no longer see her in the press corps, but I’m even sadder for #ncpol readers who are losing a top-notch person.
Some news from me: Friday is my last day at @axios, a place that has fostered my growth and nurtured me as a journalist & human. Friday will also be my last day in journalism. I’m not sure who I am if not a reporter, but I’m excited (& a little scared) to find out. #ncpol
Cooper to announce Senate run. (to the surprise of exactly zero #ncpol folks)
Scoop: Cooper plans to enter North Carolina Senate race next week trib.al/LfpgR9Z
