@BritishSpiders Redmire quarry YNU Moth trapping Sat 19th. Abundant red and black ants evident. Iridescence evident. Shooting happens regularly on site, so possible import. Could this be Micaria sp. Markings suggest subopaca species.
When you understand that an oak tree can support 2,300 species, you know it’s ALWAYS worth stopping to take a closer look! And this week we found these incredible Sputnik-shaped egg sacs. They belong to a small comb-footed spider, Paidiscura pallens!
