First a baby, and then this paper, which feels a bit like Sarah Grace and my child 🤣🤣🤣 @SarahGHudspeth and I put a lot of sweat and tears into this one! Check it out! onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/14…
We've screened (virtually) well over 150 adults >50 years old using the MoCA. By my calculations, ~30-40% have actually "not passed" the typical score (a 26 out of 30). Is it just us?! Am I insane? We've moved our criteria to a 23 in many studies...
Very pleased to have this paper in Aphasiology. We analysed first-hand descriptions of inner speech written by people with aphasia to shed light on theoretical and clinical questions. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

A little sharing for #students and #ECRs out there: received a paper back with minor revisions requested (Rev 1) and rejected (Rev 2), with side by side comments saying, "This is a well-written manuscript," and "This paper is not well written." So, established PIs get this too.
Revisiting a favorite teen past time... Intricate French braids! #blue of course

I continuously lose faith in humanity. But in the words of Maya Angelou, there's really only one thing that kind, conscientious people can do: Still I rise
