Thanks again to Representative Echevarria for helping get HB 171 through Senate Judiciary Committee. I appreciate the support and help he’s given to this legislation. #ncpol
HB 171, which prohibits discriminatory practices in government hiring, training, and workplaces, got a favorable report in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Thank you, @BrendenJonesNC and @NCHouseGOP, for allowing me to help. #ncpol

Governor Stein has issued 14 vetoes, with more than half targeting bills passed with bipartisan support. He has gone so far to VETO the Expedited Removal of Unauthorized Persons Act that supports stronger enforcement against squatters on residential properties.
Just so we’re clear — a Durham County elected official is actively trying to obstruct federal law enforcement just because she disagrees with it… #ncpol
❗️ Everyone be aware: ICE agents in plain clothes are at the Durham County Courthouse. I’m heading there now.
Under Republican leadership, North Carolina is leading the nation as the top state for business. This is what happens when we put families, workers, and job creators first. Let’s keep building on this momentum. #ncpol

We shouldn’t be surprised that Republican policies work. Low taxes, fewer regulations, and a pro-growth agenda are driving North Carolina’s economic success. If you’re thinking about moving here, don’t forget which party made that prosperity possible. #ncpol #ncgop

I hope everyone in England has a fantastic day at work today. And to my fellow North Carolinians Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸🇺🇸#ncpol

Dissapointed to learn that Governor Stein has vetoed HB 171 (ending DEI in state agencies) I find it odd that Governor Stein is against merit based hiring in state government. I look forward to overriding this veto. #ncpol

North Carolina House Republicans approved a proposal to invest an additional $700 million to support Hurricane Helene recovery efforts across Western North Carolina. House Republicans remain committed to the people of Western North Carolina. #ncpol nchouserepublicans.com/post/nc-house-…
It’s been 5,288 days since House Democrats have elected a Majority Leader.
You weren’t there to vote for this one either. Why are you tweeting like you were?
And you were saying? We just passed HB 1012 The Disaster Recovery Act PT 2 which gives 464.75 million dollars to Western NC disaster relief. #ncpol
This is what they're hard at work on instead of passing relief for WNC small businesses. Gotta fight diversity programs first!
Proud to announce that the NC House has concurred with the Senate on my bill, HB 171, to eliminate DEI programs in state agencies. HB 171 now heads to the Governor’s desk — let’s make sure he hears from us. Tell Governor Stein: end taxpayer-funded DEI in North Carolina! #ncpol
Very disappointed to learn that Governor Stein has vetoed HB 318 the Criminal Illegal Alien Enforcement Act. HB 318 was commonsense legislation which simply demands that illegal immigrants who break the law are turned over to ICE. No clue how this veto makes NC safer. #ncpol

Thank you to the North Carolina House of Representatives for passing the 2nd reading of the PAVE Act. We’re especially grateful to @triciacotham, @BrendenJonesNC, @DestinHall, and all the lawmakers who supported this important legislation. We look forward to working with the…
