OP is right. Distinct in that it looks distinctly dusty and gray and overall dissappointing. Stunning because it looks jaw-droppingly ass compared to the animated trilogy. Literally everyone is ready for this conversation :).

On another note, the way people act on this website is just.. What are we doing here? You can't make a claim, say "but no one is ready for this conversation", then BACKTRACK by saying "oh, its just my opinion!" the moment people begin to disagree. Pick a lane and stay in it.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, why couldn't the film look like this. I'm able to see so much detail. Ghidorah's gold and black scales. Godzilla blue color looking more BLUE.

I guess this is the part where I reveal that I've been working on a script covering how the Live Action version absolutely BUTCHERS the Colour, Lighting, and Atmosphere. It's an actual downgrade on every level.

Been saying this forever. Practicals, when used right, look amazing. At the same time, CGI is much better when it comes to creatures like this. It simply can reach peaks that animatronics can't.
I don't understand people preferring practical effects. CGI looks better and is quicker and cheaper to produce. It has been such for a long time.

Another day, another #JurassicWorld I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going for, but this is the direction it’s headed. Despite popular belief the movie actually NEEDS “some” blue in order to preserve its depth. Just gotta find that balance.
