ICYMI the biggest news of the week was buried in Tuesday's @StreetsblogNYC article on @NYC_DOT regulatory delays. I'm thrilled to announce I've joined the law practice of safe-streets legal legend Adam White! Please reach out for all your bike and pedestrian litigation needs.

Fantastic work by @BeadleLaw!
Very happy to share that the Court has granted a temporary restraining order preventing @NYC_DOT from ripping out the Bedford Avenue #bikenyc lane! This is just a temporary reprieve but a great result & gains time to fight to save the lane! @TransAlt @Gothamist @StreetsblogNYC
Peter is absolutely killing it out there defending Bedford Ave!
The Bedford protected #bikenyc lane stays for at least a bit longer! @NYC_DOT cannot remove the lane just yet. Call your reps and demand they press the Mayor to not revert Bedford to its previous deadly design.
After arguments today the Judge reserved decision & expects to make a ruling next week. Meanwhile the Temporary Restraining Order remains in place to protect the Bedford Ave Bikelane. Regardless of the ultimate ruling, I hope @NYC_DOT will keep the lane & make it safer for all.
After a deadly weekend of three car crash deaths, today we're in court fighting @NYCMayor's attempt to rip up safety improvements on Bedford. The Department of Transportation says: “The City risks legal liability for knowingly reducing safety on a Vision Zero priority corridor.”
Despite some rumors over the weekend. The TRO remains in effect until our hearing on July 1 and @NYC_DOT is unable to remove the protected bike lane for the time being.
The Court has now clarified matters with the filing of the actual Order which states specifically that the TRO remains in effect.
But if you’re on an e-bike, better not go 1 mph more
Rode this for the first time today, and I only stopped at one light from 3rd Avenue & 65th Street to Willis Avenue & 135th Street Truly a glorious ride
