It's pretty obvious Newcastle is preparing for life after Isak.
Liverpool arguably needs two centre backs, IMO. Could quite easily recoup 200m on sales. Work to do.
Slot's challenge this season will be neutralising the counter attack. We're not as solid as Arsenal but possess a lot more goal power. That proved critical last season.
Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was.
In a way, Liverpool is rewarding and maximising the last few years of Alisson, Salah, and Van Dijk. These guys changed the game for Liverpool.
Isak has done his part, primarily because Liverpool has told him and his agent that a record bid will follow.
Newcastle has to sell. He won't be signing a new contract, and his value will never be this high. ⏰️
Fury gave Usyk his toughest fight, and Tyson is a great exponent of the sweet science. He still couldn't light up Usyk or dominate in any way. An irrepressible & hugely formidable fighter. You'd need some skills, power, and ring IQ to beat him. It simply doesn't exist out there
Looks like Bayern will return with an improved offer for Diaz. €70m should do it. We'll need Saudi to come in for Nunez and hope he's open to the move. Elliot probably garners 40m+. Expect Ekitike, another wide forward, and a centre back.
Dubois has improved, but he hasn’t faced anyone on Usyk’s level. The motor, skills, feints, and relentless movement wear down these big men. Another routine win for the great Ukrainian.
Now or never for Isak. He'll know that, too. If Liverpool can't nail him in this window, they won't be back in 12 months.
If Nunez goes, Liverpool will need two attackers. Centre back, too.
Mourinho always hits the right tone when he's away from the competitive environment. Some great words there. #Jota
