My protagonist in my WIP is a statue that's been brought to life, so I've been dusting off my art history studies from college and doing a lot of research online, looking at sculptures and statues and studying artists and whatnot. I love this one by Benjamin Victor Bathsheba.

Well, this year I've edited one novel that's shortlisted for a Nebula Award and a novella that's shortlisted for a World Fantasy Award and I feel pretty okay about sticking those two feathers in my cap. ❤️
Pretty sure I just got the first chapter of my next book written. After damn near two years away from writing, trudging through the mire of all things mental health (thank god for therapy)... It feels a bit like a victory to come back to creativity.
