Just finished a new horror script. Gonna polish it up and get it out. A lot of effects, but 80% one location. And a premise I’ve never seen in horror. Next? A cool Christmas rom/com or a Western. I have ideas for both. I can’t stay in one lane.

It’s amazing that I can know people for years before they realize my eyes are green. Then it’s like…. Shock. Happened again today. Pretty funny.

It’s a love/hate thing when you finish an original spec (total of 4 drafts). Love that it’s done and hate that I’ll miss writing that story and will miss those characters. But it’s out to my reps and to a producer who was waiting for it. On to whatever’s next.

I’ve been 49 pages into an original spec for 4 years. Every time I got back into it, reread and polished that first 49 to finally finish it, I’d get some new job and back burner it and it sat on the whiteboard. Now I have to finish it by the weekend. #screenwriting

The joys of living on a golf course.

Had a great time at the Southern Oasis Film Festival in Sevierville Tennessee. Jarod Hollyfield runs a great fun festival. @GalaAvary, what a pleasure hearing you speak and getting to know you. It was intimidating to have to follow you.

Long night. Hours under the house… golfball hail, 6 inches of rain in 8 hours, flash floods, 60 mile an hour winds, and a few occasional tornadoes. More the next three days. This is why God invented whiskey.
