شروط التوبة (Conditions of Repentance) How does one sincerely repent from sins? Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله explained that making a sincere tawbah (repentance) from sins is wājib (obligatory) upon every believer.
The Shaikh of Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah said, “Supplicating for someone in their absence is far greater in [terms of] being answered than doing so in their presence, that is because it is more complete in sincerity and further removed from shirk.” 📖 Qāʿidatun fit-Tawassul, p. 263.
Shaykh Muḥammad b. Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn رحمه الله said: When it was said to some of the Salaf: 'Ittaqillāh! (Fear Allahﷻ!)' They would tremble until whatever was in their hands dropped. [Sharḥ Riyāḍh aṣ-Ṣāliḥīn 1/544]

Yahya Ibn Abi Kathir رحمه الله said: It used to be said People have never honoured themselves with anything better than the obedience of Allah and they have never dishonoured themselves with anything worse than disobedience to Allāh. [Ibn Abī Al-Dunyā,Muhasabatu Al-Nafs]
Hadith Qudsi: أَعْدَدْتُ لِعِبَادِي الصَّالِجِينَ مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ، وَلَا أُذُنُ سَمِعَتْ، وَلَا خَطَرَ عَلَى قَلْبِ بَشَرِ “I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what no heart has imagined.” Sahih Bukhari 3244, Muslim 2824
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Take advantage of five before five: Your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your busy, and your life before your death.” 📖Shu’ab al-Iman lil-Bayhaqi [10250].
Shaykh Saalih Al-Fawzaan حفظه الله said: If the Aqeedah (Faith/Creed) is correct, then the deeds of the Muslim will be correct. [المنتقی ١/١٠٧]
